Ms. Wang of the Taipei Taiwan Harley Freedom Riding Team
We toured Fukushima from April 22 to 27, 2018, with the aim of viewing the cherry blossoms, which are a rare sight in Taipei. None of our group had toured Fukushima before, and we were initially surprised by the broad and well-maintained roads, which combined with the low traffic volume made touring conditions excellent. We visited a total of seven cherry blossom viewing spots, of which the “Cherry Road” at the Mt. Bandai Municipal Pasture Park and the cherry trees along the Kannonji River left the strongest impressions. The Miharu Takizakura (an ancient “waterfall” cherry tree) was also a highlight. The food in Fukushima is delicious, and that plus the top-class hot springs make Fukushima ideal for motorcyclists. The team is talking about visiting again during the fall foliage season.
