Taiwan Harley Eagle Team: Mr. Yang, Team Leader
We toured Fukushima from May 14 to 20, 2017, and my impression of our team’s seven-day tour of Fukushima can be summed up in one sentence: Fukushima is paradise for motorcyclists. For one thing, we were able to enjoy stress-free touring, because the volume of traffic is far lower than that of Taipei, and because there are few traffic lights one is free to ride at one’s own pace. Also, the drivers in Fukushima are very kind about giving motorcycles space on the road. People always greeted us at rest areas, and posed with us for souvenir photos. These are the reasons I recommend Fukushima: 1) The traffic volume is low and there are few stoplights, which makes motorcycle touring a pleasure; 2) There are many spots that are fun for both expert and novice riders; 3) There are high-quality hot spring facilities in every direction; 4) The produce harvested from the mountains and the sea is truly delicious; 5) There are many brewers of tasty craft sake and, finally, the ramen is amazing. Next time, I want to go during the cherry blossom or fall foliage season.
